Exutoire
Introduction
Exutoire (Paul-Antoine Lucas and Bui Quy Son) are a Hanoi-based queer spatial practice that critically investigates social, spatial, and material justice in and through architecture. By means of editorial, curatorial, pedagogical, and design work, they make and tend to spaces, objects, social infrastructures, and knowledge platforms that bring forth underrepresented discourses: from queer methodologies to trans-normativity in public space to the right to housing.
Lucas and Bui are co-curators of the Luxembourg Pavilion at the upcoming 2027 Venice Architecture Biennale with Céline Zimmer. They have taught at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design, TU Darmstadt, INDA DEX at Chulalongkorn University, RMIT Vietnam, and are both currently pursuing a Practice Research PhD degree at RMIT University. Their first book, Housing, Micropolitics, and Pedagogies: Designing and Practicing Collectivity was published by Ruby Press in March 2025.
