Surasit Mankhong
Introduction
Surasit Mankhong (b. Udon Thani, Thailand) is a visual artist whose practice explores the relationship between humans and the environment, with a focus on natural resource management and its impact on society, ecology, and ways of life. Drawing on local myths and materials such as soil, water, and sound, he creates dialogic spaces for community-based, experimental projects that foster exchange and explore collective forms of expression.
Surasit has exhibited UN-EARTH PROVENIENCE UNFOLD, NOIR ROW ART SPACE, Udon Thani (2022), KhonKaen Manifesto, GF Building, Khon Kaen (2018), PARALLEL I and II, NOIR ROW ART SPACE, Udon Thani (2019, 2025), THE FROZEN – Thara Phanlue, SAC Gallery, Bangkok (2024), and LOCAL MYTHS: Beauty of Local Origins, BACC, Bangkok (2025). In 2018, he co-founded the collective Horsin K.T.M.
Surasit currently lives and works in Udon Thani, Thailand.
