Introduction

Kanich Khajohnsri (b. Bangkok, Thailand) is an artist whose practice explores space, demarcations, and the overlaps that blur their boundaries, drawn to the ambiguities that arise when private ownership encroaches upon public spaces.

His recent work develops “ambiguous space,” examining how places are configured and perceived in response to their context. By layering narratives, social connections, and beliefs, he investigates how both physical and non-physical landscapes are constructed, shaping the way we perceive and inhabit the places we know.

He was awarded the Young Thai Artists Award in Photography (2015).

Recent exhibitions include Early Year Project #2, Bangkok Art & Culture Centre (2017) and Absurdity in Paradise, Fridericianum (2018).

Kanich currently lives and works in Bangkok, Thailand.
