Monthira Kumson
Introduction
Monthira Kumson (b. Chiang Mai) is a cultural practitioner, researcher, and exhibition designer based in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Architecture at Chiang Mai University, Monthira explores the relationship between people and urban space through walking, fieldwork, and public engagement. Through her project ‘The Ugly City’, Monthira investigates Chiang Mai’s urban vernacular architecture, everyday life, and the often-overlooked urban landscapes that shape contemporary cities beyond mainstream.
