Introduction

Pavida Wachirapanyaporn graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Western Dance from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Srinakharinwirot University, she is choreographer and performance artist whose practice explores embodiment, memory, and states of being through movement, performance, and non-verbal expression. Her work examines bodily transformation, as well as the relationship between body, space, and traces of memory.

Pavida was a core performer with Pichet Klunchun Dance Company from 2016 to 2020, touring internationally and performing at festivals including YPAM (Japan), George Town Festival (Malaysia), and Asia TOPA (Australia). She has collaborated with artists and companies from Thailand and abroad, including Jérôme Bel, WHS Visual Theatre Company, IMAGINART SCENIC, Kabinet and Eiji Sumi. Alongside performance, she writes as a way of exploring embodiment, memory, and the relationship between body and space.

Pavida currently lives and works in Bangkok, Thailand.
