Introduction

Nethisetthi Tathinjun is an independent filmmaker, freelance documentary director, and manager and programmer at the screening collective Dude, Movie, based in Chiang Mai. Her practice centers on how stories are shaped through encounters with people and their lived experiences, primarily exploring these concepts through filmmaking, documentary, cultural projects, and film programming.

Her work ranges from short films exploring personal relationships to commissioned documentaries on youth, mental health, and social issues. She is currently questioning how storytellers use real-life experiences, seeking slower, more honest, and responsible ways of telling stories across both fiction and non-fiction.

Nethisetthi currently lives and works in Chiang Mai.
