Hale Ergin
Introduction
Hale Ergin is a Turkish researcher and Master’s candidate in Social Science (Ethnicity and Development) at Chiang Mai University, supported by the Chiang Mai University Presidential Scholarship. Her current ethnographic research explores Pga K'nyau (Karen) knowledge practices and ecological semiotics in Northern Thailand, focusing on forest spaces as relational worlds. This work directly examines how space, ecology, and social relations intersect through situated, community-based knowledge. Hale holds a B.A. in Psychology from Istanbul University and is certified in human subjects research through the CITI Program.
