Introduction

Techin Rungwattanasophol (b. 2003, Bangkok, Thailand) holds a bachelor’s degree in Multidisciplinary Art from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Chiang Mai University. His practice moves fluidly between writing, artistic practices, and curatorial work, viewing these roles not as separate disciplines but as an integrated process of inquiry to explore and critique the contemporary world. His work primarily focuses on examining perceptions of history, memory, state power structures, and contemporary politics.

Techin has channeled these themes into several contemporary art exhibitions, including Look! Up in the Sky! It’s Moon! It’s Star! It’s ...! (Lair Space, 2026), A Trip Down Memory Lane (Museum Siam, 2025), Objects (Noir Row Art Space, 2024), and Looking for the Exits (BACC, 2020). Alongside his creative practice, he has participated in art criticism initiatives such as the EYP#8 X Art Critic Project and in-tangible texts, as well as serving as the curator for the exhibition Soma-to-Mnesis Panic Room, 2026).

Techin currently lives and works in Chiang Mai, Thailand, as an Assistant Curator at MAIIAM Contemporary Art Museum.
